Spring 2010 – Chicano Ethno-Mathematics: An indigenous media rhetorical space for collaborative and reflective learning through a social gathering around an interactive Aztec calendar for the purposes of studying mathematics through a culturally responsive framework. This is a tangible, embodied, and embedded social space that uses indigenous cultural protocol as an interface for social computation. Cristóbal Martínez.

Spring 2009 – StickBall (GameBot): In GameBot, humans and robots come together for interactive gameplay that explores the social, technological, and sustainability dimensions of robotics. Teams of artists, tribal elders and youth, game designers, and scientists have collaborated to create three new GameBot games. Players interact in physical 3D space to collaborate with one another and their robotic partners for an embodied gameplay experience in the SMALLab mixed- reality learning environment. In April 2009, GameBot was exhibited in the Arizona Science Center, reaching an audience of over 13,000 visitors. Stick Ball is the Native American game that Lacrosse derives from. This GameBot version of Stickball is officiated by an interactive robot, and is designed by indigenous artists as a symbolic expression to encourage discourse around the meaning and cultural implications of technology in the context of tribal life.
