Mixed-Media: Ball Canning Jar, Turnbuckle, Hardware, Wii Remotes, and Custom Software
Memento is a pendulum that is swung by a string and manipulated by hand. This instrument is performed by swinging, tilting, and shaking the jar. Memento measures the acceleration of these movements, and maps motion data to the MIDI control of synthesized tones that can be pitch bent, filtered, and modulated.
